Pierre Beaulieu Obituary

Pierre (Pete) Beaulieu passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2021. Pete was born on December 30, 1959, in Fresno, California to the late Camille Beaulieu and Stella Kafel Dudley. He grew up near the Maine/Quebec border in a little log cabin on T12R17, Maine near Lac-Frontiere, Canada, attending (all French) schools in Lac-Frontiere, St.Lucie, St.Paul and St.Prosper de Beauce. Pete, his twin brother Jack, brother Barry and sister, Marsha, were brought up on game and fiddlehead greens found along the Northwest Branch of the St.John River, T12R17, Aroostook County, in Northwestern Maine. Their mom died when the twins were 5 years old, Barry was 9 and Marsha 10. Their dad never remarried. He taught his children to cook, do laundry, keep the woodburning cookstove going. Pete spent most of his youth learning both the French and English language by crossing the international border everyday to go to school, play softball and hockey, pick up groceries, attend church, etc. He served in the U.S.Army from 1983 thru 1985, stationed in Manheim, Germany and Fort Knox, Indiana. He married in Charlestown, Indiana where he lived for 21 years and raised 2 beautiful daughters, Ashton (30) and Bree (29) He enrolled and completed his electrical apprenticeship school in Louisville, Kentucky. He worked 20 years at Arrow Electric as a licensed electrician. He was a hard worker and took much pride in his workmanship. When he wasn't working, he spent the majority of his time being incredibly handy around his home and playing with his 2 daughters and his beloved cocker spaniel named Kody. His roots eventually took him back to Maine to live near his siblings where he enjoyed exploring the outdoors, canoing, fishing and caregiving his brother Barry. He was an avid ice hockey fan and watching the games was a highlight of the season. He had a passion for motorcycles and rode his Harley Davidson Low Ryder on the backroads any chance he got. He enjoyed Christmas Day lasagna his sister prepared every year and listening to 70's classics such as Pink Floyd, Atlanta Rhythm Section and James Taylor. Pete was a simple man and lived by the words of his father and instilled them in his daughters: “It takes all types to make a world”. Pete is survived by his daughters, Bree Beaulieu of Louisville, Kentucky, Ashton Beaulieu of Charlestown, Indiana, sister Marsha Lagasse and her husband Albert (Sonny) of Bingham, Maine; 2 brothers Barry Beaulieu of Lac-Frontiere and Bingham, Jack Beaulieu of St.Lucie, Quebec, Canada, step-brother Theron Dudley of Fort Edward NY, 3 nieces Tara, Anya and Kristin and 1 nephew Corey. He was predeceased by his father, mother, step-sister, Nancy Dudley Kalloch of Orlando, FL and his ex-father-inlaw, Raymond Kopp of Charlestown, IN. There will be a Catholic Mass service held at St.Peter's Catholic Church in Bingham, Maine (date unknown at this time) and a Military Burial at the V.A. in Augusta, Maine (probably held on day following church service)
