Robert Hines

Robert Hines, 81, of North Anson, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Robert was born on July 3, 1944, in North Anson, Maine, the son of Caroll and Ethelyn (Adams) Hines. He attended local schools and went on to build a strong work ethic that carried him through a long and dedicated career. He once worked for Blue Rock Construction and later became a installer for TDS Phone Service, where he proudly spent many years before retiring.

Robert had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, and riding his ATV. He also found great satisfaction working in his wood shop and took pride in his craftsmanship. In addition, Robert enjoyed flying with the AMA Flying Club, he was a former member of the local fire department, he coached local baseball teams and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Pat; his sister, Mary; his son, Randy, and his wife, Jeannie; and his bonus children, Julie; Lisa and her husband, Bing; Charles Jr.; and Teresa. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Scott; Justin and his wife, Cailee; and Abel; along with his bonus grandchildren, Brad and his wife, Autumn; Sierra and her husband, Wade; Charles III; Aliyah; and Kami and her husband, Nick and his son in law Randy. Robert is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy and two great grandchildren; his sisters, Helen, Nancy, and Betty; his brother, Phil and his bonus son in law Paul.

Robert will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

The family will be hosting a gathering in the spring to celebrate Roberts life.
