Scott Labbe Obituary

In Loving Memory of Scott L. Labbe

April 12, 1972 – June 9, 2025

Madison, Maine

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Scott L. Labbe, who left us far too soon on June 9, 2025, at the age of 53. Born in Skowhegan, Maine, and a lifelong resident of Madison, Scott was a man of deep loyalty, quiet strength, and fierce love for those he held close.

Scott was the beloved son of Brenda Thibideau and Scott M. Labbe, who both passed before him. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Labbe, who was the light of his life, and her two sons—his cherished grandsons—Jaxson and Thomas Meunier. Being a grandfather brought Scott immense joy and pride, and his love for his family was the heart of who he was.

He also leaves behind his sister, Rebecca Withee, and her husband Steven; his niece and nephew, Emma and Ross Withee; and his brother, Ronald J. Shedd Jr., and Ronald’s daughter, Keyra Shedd. Scott was a proud great-uncle to Brock Withee, Izaiah Withee, Zarrah Slimm, Kaiden Curry, and Khloe True—each of whom brought him happiness and pride in their own unique ways.

Scott had a close circle of lifelong friends who became like family—Ben Gordon, Shane Worthley, Paul Simm, Rebecca Bowring, Melissa Meunier, and Cheryl Wilder—people who stood by him through life’s ups and downs, and shared laughter, stories, and countless memories.

For his entire working life, Scott was a dedicated carpet installer. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, and was known not only for the quality of his work but for the quiet integrity with which he carried himself. He was the kind of man who never needed to boast—his work, and his word, spoke for themselves.

Scott found peace in the outdoors. He loved camping under the stars, casting a line into a quiet lake, and being surrounded by nature. Heavy metal music was the soundtrack to his life—loud, raw, and true, just like him.

Above all, Scott loved his people. He was a man who didn't say "I love you" lightly, but when he did, he meant it with his whole heart. He showed his love through loyalty, hard work, and always showing up when it mattered.

Per Scott’s wishes, there will be no formal service. His family and friends will honor him in their own personal ways—in the woods, by the water, with music in the background and memories in their hearts.

Scott L. Labbe will be missed more than words can ever express, but his memory lives on in the stories we share, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.
