It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our brother, Sean Patrick Brown, who left us peacefully on February 8, 2026, surrounded by his brothers and sisters. While our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing Sean is resting in the arms of Jesus, having finished his earthly journey.
He was born April 10, 1961, the son of Robert L. Brown and Charlene W. "Gallagher" Brown.
Sean grew up in Maine and graduated from Messalonskee High School in 1979. He had a lifelong love of learning and pursued his education avidly, earning a doctorate in Parapsychology in the early 2000's. He was known for his thoughtful nature, curiosity, and appreciation for the world around him.
Sean proudly served his country, first joining the Maine Army National Guard in 1978 and later serving in the United States Army. Following his service, he worked in several different fields before finding his passion. He dedicated his life to helping others. He had so much compassion for others; he used this gift to offer end-of-life comfort and support to family and friends during their most difficult moments.
Sean enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending time with family. He continued learning throughout his life, collecting a wide range of information in his pursuit of knowledge. Those who knew Sean remember his quiet strength, reflective spirit, and compassionate presence.
Sean is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Charlene Brown.
He is survived by his sisters, Kathy (Everett) Chase, Kelly (Ralph) Bailey, Deidre (Phil) Dail, Erin Cox, brothers Kean (Sara) Brown, Shea (Jovana) Brown, many cousins, nephews, and nieces, as well as extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
There will be no public funeral. At Sean's request, you are asked to spend time embracing your family and friends, lovingly reflecting on every moment you have together. Every day is a gift.
