ANSON - Silas Benjamin Bell, 47, of Anson, journeyed home to His Heavenly Father on Monday, Jan.22, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Silas was born on April 26th, 1976 in Farmington, Maine. He was raised in Anson by his parents along with his four siblings. His childhood years were filled with biking, fishing, baseball, camping, crabbing, hunting, fort building, tree climbing, BB gun shooting, slug slinging, rotten apple throwing, and cookie dough eating. The perfect childhood growing up in the woods of Maine.
In his teens, he excelled on the soccer field, earning him All-star recognition and taking him to Europe. He was an avid skier and on the ski team. And also, enjoyed restoring his early 1970's Classic Nova.
As a young man, Silas and his brother worked alongside their father learning the trade of carpentry and the value of a hard days work. Through the years, he developed a love and passion in creating custom floors, showers and stonework. He enjoyed passing on his knowledge to others in the trade.
Silas met the love of his life, Katrina, and together they created a firm family foundation. They built a home together and raised their daughters Taylor and Emma. As a husband and father, Silas was one of a kind. A selfless, devoted provider. In a home full of women, he had great patience and was a true peacekeeper. He passed on his love of the woods, passion for soccer, and essential life skills to his girls. His adventurous spirit was obvious in his love for travel, continuously planning the next
As the family grew, he welcomed son-in-law, Christian. Another man to share in his passion for second amendment rights, off the wall pod casts, and exploring the views of Spencer Hill. One of the greatest moments in Silas's life was the promotion to "Uppah" with the birth of his granddaughter, Ellie Rose. Ellie soon became his partner in crime, from hotels to aquariums, from long walks to archery, and donut holes galore. The highlight of this year was the birth of grandson, James Stephen, "Mush-Mush".
Silas is loved by many and missed as a Husband, Father, Uppah, Son, Brother, Uncle and so much more.
My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.
Psalms 7:10 NIV
