Theodore W. “Ted” Surdam,46, of New Portland, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his home.
Ted will be greatly remembered by many family and friends as a down to earth loving person that was almost always smiling, a kind soul that would lend a hand where ever he could but didn’t expect anything in return.
Ted was an outdoorsy man that loved to hunt, fish, fiddlehead picking and be in the wood cutting down trees.
Ted was born in Providence, Rhode Island on January 14, 1976, a son of late Edgar Viau and June Surdam. He was educated in the local schools. Following school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a hard worker and loved to stay busy, most recent job was a yardman for Jordan Lumber in Kingfield Maine.
Although he was born and raised in Rhode Island, his heart and soul has always been in the beautiful State of Maine, he truly loved it here.
