Tyler Loisel Obituary

Tyler James Loisel, 22, of Canaan passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

Tyler was born on August 01, 2000 in Waterville, Maine the son of Justin LaForte and Viola Loisel. He attended Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Maine. After high school Tyler went on to be a mechanic, a job in which he loved.

He loved camping, mudding, cruising the roads, jeeps, a love he shared with his mother, working on cars and of course Snap-On tools. From a young age Tyler loved taking things apart to see how they worked. When he was only four years old he managed to take a door right off the hinges. He was smart, funny and always had a good come back. He was well educated on the end of the world and was well prepared with a stockpile of food and supplies.

Tyler was pre-deceased by his brother Scott “Bucky” Loisel. Losing his big brother was extremely hard on him. His loss stayed with him. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents Rick and Rose Loisel.

He is survived by his mother Viola Loisel, his father Justin LaForte, his paternal grandparents Carl and Alice LaForte, his step-father Scott Bickford, his sister Tammickea Steward, his uncle Rick Loisel and his significant other Kari Perry, his cousin Dustin Perry, his girlfriend Haily Sargent, his best friend Matt Engstrom, his close friend Basil Marson, his dog Zelda which he considered his daughter, his mothers dog, his brother Oddie. Tyler also leaves many more good friends and family.

Tyler will live on as he was able to save multiple lives through organ donation.
