Virginia Louella Joslyn (Dow), 62, of Skowhegan, Maine, passed away on June 18, 2026. She was born March 20,1964 in Portland, Maine. She spent her childhood in Hartland, Maine. She attended Nokomis Regional High School and went on to dedicate many years of her life working as a shoe sewer for Dexter Shoe in Milo, Maine.

Virginia was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be remembered for her strength, her love for her family, and the many memories she created with those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially chocolate, teddy bears, the ocean, soap operas and spending time with those she loved most. Some of her happiest moments were the adventures she shared

with her cherished grandsons, Zeus and Elias, creating memories that will last forever, as well as her beloved dogs, Sophie and Max. She is survived by her one and only child, Amanda Louise Joslyn; her cherished grandsons, Zeus and Elias Joslyn; her brothers, Steven Kilton and Robert Dow; her sisters, Dorothy Dube, Christina Hilt, and Rebecca Igo. Brother in law Stacy Joslyn. Sister in law Bonnie Mcdonald, Linda Dow and Theresa Joslyn . She also leaves behind her loving boyfriend, Ernest Lawler, her dearest best friend, Gina Caivano, and the children of her lifelong best friend; Sheri, Mike, Krystle and Erik whom she loved as her own. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Steven Joslyn; her parents, Hilton Dow and Leona Lovely; her stepfather, Ransford Lovely; and many aunts, uncles, in laws and cousins. Virginia's love for her family remained at the center of her life. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the countless memories shared throughout the years. If love could have kept her alive, she would have lived forever. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends. Her presence may be gone, but her love will remain with us always.
