Walter Elwood Moody, Sr, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Anson on Thursday, August 4, 2022.
Walter was born on July 4, 1952 in Waterville, Maine to the late Norman L. Moody, Sr and Eleanor Welch. He owned his own demolition company for 28 years doing large jobs throughout the State of Maine. At the age of 48, he ran for selectman in the Town of Clinton.
He is survived by his children, Walter Moody, Jr of North Carolina, Kimberly Moody of Colorado, and two step-children, Leo St. Peter of Waterville and Lynne Mosher of Smithfield. He is also survived by his sisters, Tami Clark of Rome, and Irmalene Holt of Skowhegan, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents Norman L. Moody, Sr. and Eleanor Welch, his brother Norman L. Moody, Jr, and his sister Eleanor McAfee.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Cemetery, Willow Street, Skowhegan, at the Moody plot. Reverend Mark Tanner will be officiating.
