Colette Vaillancourt, 53 of Anson, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at her home in Anson following a brief illness.

 

Colette was born on August 6, 1963 in Skowhegan a daughter of Eudore Joseph and Bernice (Roy) Vaillancourt.

 

For several years she attended private schools and work programs including, the Dill Center, Helping Hands, Ken-A-Set, C.R.S and E.S.M., being with other people and helping always made her happy.

 

She enjoyed listening country music and listeneing to some of her favorite singers including, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Dolly Pardon,watching television and movies, her favorite was the Wiggles, she loved to dance, laugh and play on the swings, kick ball and going swimming. She like many foods, her favorite was chocolate and ice cream. She had a wonderful smile and was a happy and kind person.

 

Colette was predeceased by her father, Eudore Vaillancourt and three brothers, Donald Vaillancourt, David Vaillancourt and Dale Vaillancourt.

 

She is survived by her mother, Bernice Vaillancourt and her partner, Edmond Mathieu of Moscow, her sisters, Diane Abbott and her husband Robert of Madison, Doreen Morrill of Bingham, Linda Vaillancourt of Skowhegan and Debbie Tibbetts and her husband Dale of Dover Foxcroft. She is also survived by her brothers, Dudley Vaillancourt of Silver Springs Florida,Danny Vaillancourt and his wife Jacinthe of Ocklawaha Rino Vaillancourt of Anson and Paul Vaillancourt of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

 

Colette's family would like to thank Grace Carreino and Marie Beaulieu for their wonderful care over the past 13 years. They would also like to thank Maine General Hospice for the care and compassion they provided for the past months as well as all of her physicians.

 

Friends are asked to visit with the family on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.at Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River Street, Bingham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Catholic Church; Owen Street in Bingham, burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Cemetery in Moscow.
