Peter P. Clukey, 71, of Madison, passed away on July 18, 2016 at Redington Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan.

 

Peter was born on January 17, 1945 in Anson, the last child of Napoleon and Florence (O’Connor) Clukey, He attended local schools and was a graduate of Madison High School, class of 1963.

 

He was employed with the Somerset County Sheriffs Department for a few years as a patrolman, he worked for Savage Oil Company as a burner technician for several years later he was employed civil deputy from 2000 to 2008

 

Peter like to go camping and fishing at Spencer Bay on Moosehead Lake with his wife, he enjoyed being outdoors in nature. He was proud to be a board member for Selective Service.

 

Peter was predeceased by both of his parents, as well as three brothers, Gerald Clukey, Harleigh Clukey and Paul Clukey.

 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Vicki Pollis Clukey of Madison.

 

Although they never had any children, all of the nieces and nephews were like his own. Each of them were loved very much and they include, Sherry, LouAnn, Debbie, Susie, Bridget, Paul, Dana, Michael, James, David, Scott, Harleigh, Billy, Lonnie and Steven.

 

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Forest Hill Cemetery on Park Street in Madison, Pastor Dan Curtis officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Madison.
