Robert Thelbert Sukeforth Sr. 82 Robert of Chelsea passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening February 21. A father, brother,and husband he was beloved by many.

He was born in Jefferson, on March 20, 1934, the third child of Harvey and Marion ( Hall ) Sukeforth. Robert did not have a formal education, but took great pride in being able to lead crews of people to do great work.

Robert worked for many years at Lipman poultry in Augusta before joining WS Williams construction of Gardner. He was a paving foreman there for 30 years before retiring. After retirement he worked part-time at the Augusta Civic Center.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, two brothers: Arthur and Lewis, two sisters: Alice and Dorothy, his first wife Barbara, and his stepson Albert Belanger.

He is survived by his wife Mildred, Brothers Richard ,Ronald, Scott, and Raymond, his children Lee, Robert Jr, James, Dale, Kathleen, Jeffrey, Timothy, Randall, and Pamela.

He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Per Roberts wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. An open house celebrating his life will be held February 25, 2017 from 12 noon till 4 PM at 254 Townhouse Rd., Chelsea, ME
